VALENTINE’S DAY STYLE
It’s officially February! We finished our Whole30 on January 30th, and left for vacation the very next day to California. We’ve been trying not to eat ‘all the bad things’ and instead are trying to pick our favorite healthy-ish restaurants to visit while we’re here. High on the list is True Food, Sage, and Sugarfish to name a few. Although I’ve already been to Sidecar Doughnuts and might stop back one more time before we leave. 🙂
The day we landed in California it was crazy rainy and gloomy. That same weekend it was in the 70’s back in Charlotte lol. Apparently we ARE the weather problem! Happily, the rain didn’t last long, and we were able to enjoy some beautiful days in Malibu and Santa Monica. We’re currently in Beverly Hills the next few days, and it’s been so fun to vacation in a place you love and so familiar to you. I’ve barely had to whip out my GPS while I’ve been here- which for those who know me, is a major accomplishment!
I found this skirt on super sale at Shopbop a few months ago and absolutely love it! It’s since sold out, but I’ve linked a few more great options for Valentines Day below. Shopbop is great because they ship through Amazon so all your orders come within two days if you have Amazon prime! It’s great for last minute vacation shopping, or any other events that crept up on you, and now you have no more time to run to the mall. They also have amazing deals- up to 70% off and the brands they carry are all such good quality. I’ve been able to get some really great pieces (like this skirt) for a fraction of their original price.
You may recognize the black tank from Brigitte and Kiki I posted awhile back. It’s still available on their website (on sale too! scroll to the end for the link!), and such a great date night top. I’m realizing that so many things I’ve bought recently are the same pretty blush color as this purse. Totally unintentional, but I just gravitate towards certain colors each season/year and right now it seems to be that pink. I didn’t realize it, but this particular purse was a ‘mommy and me’ purse mixed in with all the normal purses at Nordstrom. I got home and there was a mini version of the exact same purse inside! So adorable, but I’m just glad I have a niece whose birthday is fast approaching or else I wouldn’t have known what to do with it! I made the mistake of asking her if she liked my pink purse the other day and she paused, then said she would like it better if it were purple….oops! Hopefully if I stuff enough unicorn things inside she’ll be happy come birthday time haha.
Do you guys have anything fun planned for Valentines Day? We always have a hard time trying to get around the pre fixe menus that are never that amazing in our opinion. Even if we go to a restaurant we normally loooove, we feel rushed and that the food isn’t as great as it is on a normal night. This year we’re thinking of maybe doing a jazz bar or something low-key with live music. Any suggestions for the Charlotte area are always appreciated!! 😀
