Now that Fall is officially here, I’ve been hunting down everything pumpkin flavored I can find these days. I’m not ashamed to be ‘basic,’ and I’m drinking my pumpkin spice lattes with no regrets! If you follow my Insta Story, you saw the amazing pumpkin hummus we had for brunch today at Rose Cafe in Venice. It was crazy good. I’m determined to find a recipe to try and duplicate it at home! If I find one, I will let you all know about it, but if you are in the area just stop in and try the one at Rose Cafe! It’s a seasonal item, so you’ll have to get it soon before it’s gone.
Fall Fashion for Work
For whatever reason, dressing up for work makes me more productive. As much as I want to wear my yoga pants and a cozy t-shirt at 8am in the morning, I try and force myself to put a little more effort into my wardrobe throughout the week. My decision making skills are not up to speed yet that early in the morning, so I set out my outfits Sunday night before the craziness of the week begins. That way I just roll out of bed and get dressed with no thinking required until I’ve had the proper amount of coffee. This little trick is that much more helpful on the days when I workout in the mornings and my timeline is even more crunched to get out the door.
This striped top from West Kei at LifeStyle Clothiers is so adorable and just as comfortable (almost) as a t-shirt. It’s super easy to move around in while also being entirely professional and put-together. I love the bow detail on the front and the pinstripes too. The faux leather skirt is from Lauren Conrad’s collection from a few years ago, but it’s still one of my favorites to wear in Fall.
