Last weekend Chris and I went out on a date night to watch the sunset over the cliffs in Palos Verdes. You can usually count on a really pretty orange sunset taking over the whole sky, which also happens to make for great photo lighting. On Sunday, however, there were tons of clouds everywhere. Almost on par with the movie the ‘Mist’, which made the sky look both eerie and beautiful at the same time. It created a little more moody photos, with more blue and pink tones as the sun was dulled by the mist and clouds.
Cloudy Sunset in Palos Verdes
This red dress from Tobi is absolutely beautiful in person. It has the appearance of a maxi dress, but actually has shorts underneath making it a romper. The back of the dress is completely open, which of course I love, and it has a bit of a plunging neckline in front. Ok, very plunging lol This is another situation where I had planned to figure out a cute bralette to wear underneath but didn’t end up finding anything that matched the dress. I might end up adding some lace fabric to the front for a little more coverage. One more project to add to my ever growing to-do list!
Originally I was planning on wearing some strappy heels, but was really glad I switched them out for these cute flat sandals instead. You just never know on those cliffside hiking trails, and I’d rather not trip and fall off the edge just to get some pretty photos lol. Speaking of sandals, these ones I’m wearing are extremely comfortable. I bought them at Target in Florida and wore them everywhere. From the beach, to breakfast and shopping, I loved not having to worry about blisters or aching feet.
