It’s Motivation Monday!! Time to get SERIOUS about getting in shape for summer. With pool parties, barbecues, and vacations on the horizon, it’s crunch time to shed those winter pounds and start feeling confident!
I really enjoy going to yoga classes, but the class times don’t always fit with my schedule. And let’s be honest it can get pretty hot and stuffy in that overcrowded classroom.
A great solution for this is to head over to the beach for some fresh air, no fuss yoga! This has been on my to-do list for a long time now and I’m finally making it happen.Yoga is a great way to warm up your muscles for an early morning run on the beach too!
I’ll be the first to admit, the sand makes balancing postures a little more tricky than on a hardwood floor. However, just like running on the beach, you are actually using more muscles to stabilize yourself in the sand! So don’t get discouraged if you fall more than normal. Even traditionally ‘easy’ poses can be challenging when you’re trying to balance on a constantly shifting surface like sand.
